Time to prep…
Things really started to get real for me during my 32nd week of pregnancy. Well, what I mean by that is I began to stress about finding the right pediatrician, what I need to put in my hospital bag, and what if the baby comes early...am I ready?!?!?
With work on my mind wrapping up 2 ginormous, and I'm not being modest here...I mean, I did implement a CRM system and a new website redesign for my department...no biggie...it's been crazy, to say the least. In trying to ensure that everything is smooth at work before I go on maternity leave and make sure that my employees will be set and won't have to stress about too much while I'm out, along with getting everything ready before our bundle of joy arrives, getting the room ready, purchasing last minute items, making sure that we have everything we need (and then some) at home...and oh yeah, the realization that I'm carrying another human inside of me, sometimes I wonder how in the world I seem to keep it together? Really?!?!? Sometimes I just amaze myself.
Hospital Bag Checklist
I'm the type of person who makes checklists.
Grocery lists
Christmas gift lists
Return lists
Travel bag lists
To-do lists
Just to name a few...and now I get to add Hospital Bag to the list! So I sat down and began researching what is in this mysterious hospital bag that we need to pack way in advance. The thing is, is that it's not just items for me, when we leave the hospital we'll be bringing a new little human with us too! So now, I have to think about what the baby will need. And let me tell you, I'm an over-packer! So this time, I'm really trying to do my best in going with the necessities for the both of us...oh yeah, I'll add a little something in there for dad too : )
